Book Fair!

Well done to everyone that supported the school and purchased books at our recent ‘Book Fair’.

This was a very successful event, and we raised £693 for the school, which we are able to spend on books for pupils.

Thank you to the Year 6 pupils that kindly helped Mrs Smith to run the Fair.

Race for Life!

Firstly, we would like to say a huge thank you to all you wonderful parents, carers, friends and family members who came along to support us at our Race For Life event.  A special thank you to those who took part alongside their child, we hope you enjoyed receiving your medals! It was wonderful to see the children having such a fun time for a great cause. Watching them cheer each other on and helping one another around the course made us extremely proud of all our Crownfield children. Well done to you all!

Instrumentalists and Year 5 readers visit the British Legion in Hornchurch!

The school instrumentalists and some Year 5 readers went to visit the British Legion in Hornchurch.

Paula Colby from the British Legion, who visited us on behalf of the SSAFA (the Armed Forces Charity), sent us this message about our visit:

'May I say what well behaved Children they were, and that my lunch time ex veterans were thrilled at the music they played and the poems they read.'

We will definitely be keeping in touch to help Crownfield more out and about in the community!

Here are some of the photos of them being very brave and putting on a lovely performance for the club members!

'The trip was amazing, I felt to proud to read my poem to amazing people that have done such lovely things for our country.' - Sadie, 5N

Years 3 and 4's projects centered around learning they had done in class around Plants and Living Things.
Year 5's projects focused on learning about the Earth, Sun and Moon in Science and Extreme Weather in Geography.

Here are some photos of some of the amazing work the children produced:
